School Rule Changes : Compares 1955 rules with those in OG WGS book and WGS Nostalgia Web site

The earlier school rules present an image of boy behaviour I remember reading of in school books in the thirties - "Billy Bunter", "Stalky and Co"  and "Just William" are very evident with rules on pea shooters, water pistols and raising caps.  In the 1950's we boys now had property and best of all, since rationing was definitely over, 'sweets' .  The two differences evident in the later rules surprised me.  Why was walking more than three abreast now allowed and, I don't remember ever being allowed to use the front corridor as a passage way - so when was that rule put in place?
